2 Killed in Fiery Car Crash in Sun Valley

sun-valley-crashSUN VALLEY, Calif. (KTLA) — Two people were killed in a fiery car crash in Sun Valley early Thursday.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. Thursday in the 7500 block of North Glenoaks Boulevard at Cabrini Drive.

Police say a Honda Element jumped the curb, slammed into a tree and burst into flames.

The driver and the passenger were both killed.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Police said tire marks on the roadway indicate speed was probably a factor.

Authorities said they will be investigating whether or not the driver was racing at the time of the crash.
