HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) — ” I’m hoping to be nominated for an Oscar.”
Maybe not this year, but for these Floridians, it’s a trip of a lifetime to get up close and personal to the the 85th annual Oscars being held here at the Dolby theater.
For these best friends from Albany, New York, it’s a chance to see celebrities!
“Yes that’s it the stars — just to see some famous people.”
But the red carpet isn’t glamorous just yet. There is still a lot of work for these crews to complete before Sunday’s awards show.
Even Oscar himself is getting in tip top shape!
While Oscar gets ready, other preparations continue.
Road signs alert drivers that Hollywood Boulevard is shut down all this week, and won’t reopen until Tuesday morning.
For some of these Hollywood store fronts, that’s bad for business.
“There’s no people in my store, in front of my store, even on the roadsides,” Saiful Chowthury says.
An empty store tonight, but this business owner says a perk of being so close to the Oscars is all the people watching he gets to do.
“I like to see a lot of different people, a lot of different community people and lots of different cultures, says Chowthury. “Just being here and taking it all in – -it’s great.”
