LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — Four people were stabbed outside a nightclub in downtown Los Angeles early Friday morning.
It happened around 2:20 a.m. outside The Belasco Theater in the 1000 block of Hill Street, according to police.
Authorities say that two men had been arguing inside the club before moving outside.
One man allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the other. Three bystanders who tried to intervene were also stabbed.
None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.
Several people were placed in handcuffs for questioning. Police later said one man was arrested in connection with the stabbing.

We need to take a stand now and ban all knives, screwdrivers, and all other sharp instruments including can lids from can openers. Further, any high tensile string such as fishing line should likewise be issued an additional tax in order to better monitor such sales to the general public and to fund a new Government department to monitor violence and fishing lines.

Note that 5 people were stabbed, none with life threatening injuries. Had the perp had a gun, I'm sure the story probably would have involved multiple deaths.
That is why we need more control and stricter enforcement of gun laws!

It time to stop using Detroit as an example for a city with strict gun controls.
The gun laws there changed about 3 years ago to relax them since the police
force have been cut. It's easy to get a concealed weapon permit now.

Most "NRA nutjobs" are well trained in firearms and would only use them in a life threatening situation, not a verbal argument. They are taught that your firearm is to be avoided at all costs and used as an absolute last resort. They aren't a bunch of drunk hillbillies riding around in a pickup truck shooting at mailboxes as I think you would like everyone to believe.

The following was written by a fellow grunt describing a true incident:
Vietnam 1967 – we had just completed a three-day sweep/search operation. It was conducted by an Army Infantry Company working jointly with a company of ARVN Rangers. We were forming up into loading groups to board choppers. Collectively we were armed with M-16's, hand-grenades, claymores, M-79 grenade launchers, M-60 machine guns, etc. Not one man, of about 200, was unarmed.
The ARVNs were passing by us and one US infantryman reached out and pushed one of the ARVNs on the shoulder and jokingly said, “Hurry up!” The ARVN didn’t see the humor and wound up putting 30 rounds on full auto with his M-1 Carbine into the US soldier. He was dead before he hit the ground. Three other US soldiers were hit by bullets that passed through the dead soldier's body into theirs.
If only there had been more guns present… maybe we could have stopped him?

Los Angeles is turning into Soddam & Gomorrah. Daisy was right on the mark. Too many people, not enough jobs, high rents, a lot of tension, pressure. Tempers out of control, angry, unhappy people lashing out. Gun control is moot. Criminals and that ilk will always find ways to own weapons and use them accordingly. Taking guns away from your average citizen is frought with danger and should be avoided at all cost. Sure, maybe if you say "please and thank you" the Cartels, local LA Gangs, etc. will happily comply and abide by gun control, lay down their arms and purchase season tickets to DISNEYLAND and everyone will live happily ever after.
