HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) — Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck two people crossing the street in Hollywood.
A man and a woman were walking across the street on Selma Avenue when they were hit by a black Mercedes SUV heading westbound on Selma.
The victims, both said to be about 25 years old, were in a crosswalk at the time, according to police.
The man suffered a broken leg, and the woman had foot injuries. They were both taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
The SUV sped away heading south on Highland Avenue.
Police say the vehicle should have damage to the bumper and hood, including a missing Mercedes emblem, which broke off.
Investigators are now talking to witnesses.
They also plan to review surveillance video from a nearby business to see if it captured the accident.
Police say the area is very well lit, so the driver had to have known what happened. Anyone with information is asked to contact the LAPD.

To me it looks like after something as serious as that happening to you and having non life threatening injuries is amazing. With possible footage and witnesses in a well lit area that driver might want to turn him/herself in before the hunt begins, I'd consider it if it was me.

I was the male hit in this. I’m actually 40, not 25, so that made me feel a little better at least.
I’m in hospital with leg broken in 2 places. Please catch the slime in the Mercedes!
