PASADENA — Police are searching for the person who left 15 Chihuahuas in wire crates outside the Pasadena Humane Society.

Staff members found the dogs front of the administration building on Friday.

Surveillance video showed a white truck pulling up to the building 5:30 a.m. Friday.

Investigators say a blanket left in one of the white wire cages was monogrammed with the name Mike.

Humane Society officials want people to know that they offer free Chihuahuas spay and neuter services and have food banks for animals whose owners are having financial problems.

Abandoning a dog is a misdemeanor that can lead to a fine and as much as one year in jail.

Anyone with information regarding the culprit is urged to contact the Pasadena Humane Society at (626) 792-7151 ext. 102.

If you’re interested in adopting one of the dogs visit the Pasadena Humane Society website.
