Parolee Arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Meth & Viagra

viagra-meth-bustSANTA CLARITA — A routine patrol check led two sheriff’s deputies to arrest a 27-year-old man for possessing large quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine and prescription Viagra, authorities said.

Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Station were on patrol on Monday when they spotted a car in parking lot of a bowling alley on Soledad Canyon Road.

Turns out the driver, James Deroze of Arleta, was on parole and also had a  “no bail” outstanding felony warrant for his arrest, authorities said.

Inside Deroze’s car, deputies found large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine, six bags containing more than 900 blue Viagra pills and another small bag with 20 unidentified tablets,

They also found six cellphones, two Airsoft -style imitation guns, a car stereo, speakers, a webcam, a scale and some cash, authorities said.

Deroze was arrested for “possession of a controlled substance for sale and reasonable cause receiving stolen property,” according to the sheriff’s statement.

He was also charged with the outstanding warrant for his arrest and was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station where he is being held without bail, authorities said.
