HARBOR CITY, Calif. (KTLA) — Hundreds of people lost power Tuesday morning after an SUV slammed into a power pole.

The accident happened in Harbor City shortly after 4 a.m., and cut power to about 600 utility customers, authorities said.

Both sides of PCH were shut down between Normandie and Vermont as a result of the crash.

The power was restored by about 7:30 a.m.

Investigators did not identify the female driver who was transported to an area hospital.

The extent of her injuries were not immediately known.
