TEMPLE CITY, Calif. (KTLA) — A driver was hospitalized Saturday morning after telling police he was stabbed by hitchhikers, who he apparently picked up in Arizona.
The man, who was stabbed four times in the torso late Friday night, managed to drive to an IHOP Restaurant in Rosemead before collapsing.
He was transported to a local hospital and was expected to survive.
After the stabbing the hitchhikers – a male and female — took off into a Temple City neighborhood where they were found and arrested by police.
They were booked at the Temple City Police station and faced attempted murder charges.
The circumstances leading up to the stabbing were not immediately clear.
