Your time is running out to see eight signature pieces of jewelry once owned by actress Elizabeth Taylor. The Bulgari pieces were “ reacquired “ by the exclusive jewelry establishment after Taylor’s death. The company spent millions of dollars at the 2011 Christie’s auction of the actresses jewelry. Among the pieces are the engagement ring actor Richard Burton gave to Taylor and a brooch and necklace he also bought for her. While you’re at the Petersen Automotive Museum, go to the basement for the VAULT TOUR. Normally, only museum staff is allowed in the special area that houses more than three hundred historic vehicles.
No more than 20-people at a time are allowed on the hour-long tours in the vault, which is about the size of a football field.
