SANTA ANA, Calif. (KTLA) — Police in Santa Ana are searching for two men suspected in the stabbing death of a restaurant patron.
Investigators say the victim, whose name is being withheld until next of kin is notified, was dining at the El Chile Picante restaurant at 1900 Main Street Saturday afternoon.
According to witnesses, the man got into an argument with two other men, who tried to drag the man from the restaurant.
The 26-year-old man was able to fight them off, and the suspects left but waited outside the eatery.
When the victim eventually exited, the men chased him down and stabbed him near the intersection of Commercial and Main streets.
The victim was transported to Western Medical Center, where he later died.
The suspects are described as two male Hispanics in their 20s or 30s.
