VERNON, Calif. — A magnitude 2.8 earthquake struck at 9:22 a.m. near the city of Vernon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake was centered one mile north of Vernon and 2 miles northwest of Maywood.
KTLA Meteorologist Jim Castillo reported feeling the temblor in Hollywood.
Several people in southeast Los Angeles County also reported feeling the shaking, according to the USGS website.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
