Beach Closed After Colony of Seals Abused

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KTLA) — The mayor of San Diego has ordered a beach to be temporarily closed for the safety of some seals.

A web camera that was set up at La Jolla’s Children’s Pool to monitor a seal colony caught two women who seemed to be bothering the seals.

The women are seen pulling on their flippers, shining lights in their faces and driving the seals off the beach.

There have been reports of even worse abuses.

City officials say that area is now off limits at night for the next two months, which is the seals’ birthing season.

Excuse me while I wash out my mouth with soap, per my comment about animal abuse by animals.

Find them, try them, convict them and put them in prison for "abuse".
