Southbound 110 Freeway in Downtown L.A. Shutdown After Shooting

Los Angeles, Calif.  — A shooting on the 110 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles forced authorities to shutdown all southbound lanes.

The incident happened at about 5:20p.m. on the freeway near 9th Street.

Sources tell KTLA news a male victim was apparently shot twice and thrown from a vehicle on the freeway.

The victim was still alive when rescue crews arrived and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

The freeway reopened just after 7:30pm Saturday night.
