Justin Bieber Investigated for Battery, Threatening Neighbor
CALABASAS, Calif. (KTLA) — L.A. County sheriff’s deputies an investigating allegations of battery against Justin Bieber by one of his neighbors in Calabasas.
Deputies were called to the exclusive gated community “The Oaks”‘ just after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.
The neighbor — whose wife spoke to KTLA by phone — says Bieber was test driving his new Ferrari, and that lead to a confrontation.
“He was speeding through the neighborhood, driving erratically, like he was on a racetrack,” the wife said.
“We have families here. No sidewalks. This behavior is totally unacceptable,” she added.
She went on to say, “My husband went up to him to have a civil conversation. But apparently Justin Bieber had a hard time being told to slow down.”
The two men got into a heated argument, which apparently escalated.
“Allegedly, there was a battery perpetrated by Mr. Bieber on this neighbor, as well as some threats made by Mr. Bieber,” said sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore.
“Right now it’s a misdemeanor simple battery, which is unwanted touching,” Whitmore explained.
“It could be anything from grazing an elbow, patting on the back… It could be spitting,” he said.
The wife of the man who tussled with the famous teen — at least verbally — tells KTLA that Bieber is “just being a punk.”
“He needs to know he’s not invincible and he can’t continue to be surrounded by enablers,” she said.
