Three Men Die in Mission Hills Crash
MISSION HILLS (KTLA) — Three men died in a car accident in Mission Hills early Sunday morning.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Laurel Canyon Blvd. and Rinaldi Street where Mission Hills meets the city of San Fernando.
The men in their 30s were traveling eastbound on Rinaldi in a Honda Accord when they crossed over into an oncoming lane and collided with a Chevy Volt.
“The Honda appears to have gone sideways and was hit in the weakest part of the vehicle,” LAPD Officer Brian Pratt said.
Authorities had to open the roof of the Accord to pull the men out.
Two died on scene and one was declared dead at a local hospital.
The driver of the Chevy Volt survived with only minor injuries.
Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
