Lawsuits Possible Over Dorner Reward Controversy

LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — Lawyers for three people who say they are entitled to the $1 million reward that was offered in the Christopher Dorner manhunt say lawsuits are a possibility.

Los Angeles city officials are reconsidering whether it should pay the highly publicized reward after Riverside withdrew its portion of the reward saying the terms were that Dorner be captured and convicted.

Dorner died before he could be captured when shot himself after the cabin he was holed up in during a standoff with authorties caught fire.

A Berkeley law professor says similar cases have gone to trial in other states.
