LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — UCLA has introduced its new head basketball coach Steve Alford at a news conference in Westwood Tuesday.
Alford agreed to a 7-year deal with the university worth more than $18 million.
“You walk around and you get to see what’s expected here. You get to see the high level of excellence that comes with this basketball job,” Alford said at the conference.
Alford succeeds the fired Ben Howland, after recently coaching at New Mexico.
