Hemet Assistant Principal Charged with Having Sex with Students – Doug Kolk Reports
HEMET, Calif. (KTLA) — Police arrested a high school assistant principal Wednesday on suspicion of having sexual relationships with three male students.
Hemet police have been investigating Erin Henton, 45, since March 8 when parents reported a sexual relationship between their son and Henton.
Administrators at Tahquitz High School relieved Henton of her duties and placed her on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
Prosecutors have charged Henton with 12 felonies: 7 counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with minor, 4 counts oral copulation with minor, and 1 count of distributing harmful matter to a minor.
Detectives say the abuse occurred between September of last year and March.
Henton will be arraigned on Friday at Southwest Justice Center of Murrieta.
She is being held on a $1 million bail.
