There’s an opportunity to examine YOUR health Saturday at WORLD HEALTH DAY L.A.  Everyone is welcome to take advantage of free health screenings for blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, vision, and more. In addition to all of that, there are physical activities for all children at World Health Day L.A.

The only surviving vehicle from the Green Hornet production to the Munchkin’s hats used in “Wizard of Oz.”

And, get this, the bra Marilyn Monroe wore as a flapper in the movie “Some Like It Hot”?, oh it’s going on the auction block. Estimated value? More than eight-thousand-dollars.

 These are four wheel collectibles. The hot rods at the 13th Annual Goodguys Del Mar Nationals at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, California. There’s an indoor car show of more than 2,500 vintage hot rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and trucks. There are vendor exhibits. There is live entertainment and children’s entertainment. And, there’s something called  Goodguys AutoCross, which gives – registered —  participants the opportunity to put their street rod, truck or street machine through the paces to test their driving skills and see how their car handles in a performance situation.

We are invited to meet some outstanding dogs serving our community! The Ventura County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue K-9 Team, along with the Ventura County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit and the National Police Dog Foundation are hosting “Dining with the Dogs” at the historic Camarillo Ranch House.  We have a unique opportunity to meet the dogs, their handlers, we learn more about their abilities and the work they do, including patrol, narcotics detection and explosives detection, suspect trailing, and finding missing persons and crime victims. The benefit will support police and their search & rescue dogs, because some of the dogs are personally owned and handled by volunteers. Maintaining a service dog’s training, veterinary care, and equipment, is funded primarily by donations.

Check out the recently refurbished 1938 Inkie’s Scrambler, the 12 car fast paced swirling ride that takes guests on a series of more than eleven revolutions per minute.
