Today was a dream come true for long time L.A. City Councilman Bill Rosendahl who has championed luxury living for low income families, seniors and veterans.
“Folks making less than 20 grand a year. The ocean is for everyone,” Bill Rosendahl says.
Hundreds of luxuries apartment homes were unveiled today in west L.A. here at the brand new Del Rey square off Culver blvd.
Developed by L-A based builders, Thomas Safran and Associates, this is the first of its kind upscale housing project in that part of the city in several decades.
The 124 units include amenities like the large screen TV’s, a state of the art fitness center and even a computer lab.
Residents will pay approximately 30% of their income for rent.
This project is very special to Rosendahl, who is currently battling cancer and has decided to not seek reelection when his term is up.
He has spent a great deal of time dealing with the homless problem on the westside and today, he received a special honor.
Under Del Rey Square, it reads, “Bill Rosendahl Senior Housing Community”, a lasting legacy to his public service.
