A terrorist attack near the finish line of the Boston marathon.  Two explosions within seconds of each other

Boston police will only confirm 3 fatalities, one of them an 8 year old child.

More than a hundred others were injured and reports say several of the victims lost an arm or a leg.

“We will get to the bottom of this, we will find our who did this,” President Obama.

The force of the explosions caused a billowing cloud of smoke over Copley square, and rising panic.

“Everyone started to scramble,,,,,, if there were more explosions to come.”

There are reports that at least 5 more incendiary explosive devices were found in the Boston area.

One in front of the Mandarin hotel another at the Harvard train station.

One bomb was removed and safely detonated.

At one point the Lennox hotel was evacuated and cell phone service in the city was shut down for several hours for fear another bomb could be detonated by a phone call.

“We are looking for any information that people have as to what they saw, might have heard at the site of the explosions, we are investigating leads right now,” Ed Davis, Boston Police Commissioner.

Within an  hour of the bombings the FBI and Department of Homeland Security were on the scene.

A tip line has been set up, and authorities are asking people to go home to their hotels and avoid large crowds.

“People should be calm, but they should understand this is an ongoing event,” Davis urged.
