Law enforcement sources close to the investigation call significant progress in the case of Mondays bombings at the Boston marathon.
Another break came when investigators searching a roof, recovered a pressure cooker lid, possibly used in the attack.
It will be added to evidence already collected much of which has come from those who witnessed the blasts.
Countless pictures, all documenting the moments of terror.
“They are doing this in a very methodical way very thorough way, It’s several blocks over there. They are covering a square inch at a time, and piecing together and I think making progress,” according to Gov. Deval Patrick.
But not the progress reported earlier today, when several media outlets reported a suspect identified and arrested would be appearing shortly in a federal courtroom.
With the media soon gathered outside a bomb threat prompted a red alert evacuation of the Boston Federal Building.
The bomb threat turned out to be false.
That led to the delay of a 5 ‘o clock new conference in which images of two individuals singled in video footage would reportedly be released.
The delayed news conference was then canceled altogether.
