SUV Slams into O.C. Restaurant, 3 Injured

SANTA ANA, Calif. (KTLA) — Three members of a family were injured when the driver of an SUV lost control and crashed into a restaurant.

The accident, which was caught on camera, happened around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Big K’s burgers at 1320 W. First Street.

The video shows a white Ford Expedition bounce off a school bus and then veer right into the busy burger joint.

It smashed into a table where a family of three was having lunch.

A 30-year-old father was trapped under the SUV for a short time. He is expected to recover from his injuries.

A 5-year-old girl and her mother were also injured.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, but authorities said it doesn’t appear that alcohol or excessive speed were factors.
