Security Guard Opens Fire on Man at Nightclub

PANORAMA CITY, Calif. (KTLA) — An investigation is underway after a police say a security guard opened fire on a nightclub patron in Panorama City.

The shooting was reported at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning at La Sierra Restaurant & Nightclub, located in the 8600 block of Van Nuys Boulevard.

Police say a man and the guard had been arguing when the nightclub patron got into his vehicle and hit the security guard.

The guard fired on the man, who was hospitalized in stable condition. Doctors also treated the guard for minor injuries and then released him.
