Fans Met With Extra Security at Long Beach Grand Prix

LONG BEACH, Calif. — (KTLA) Fans were met with increased security as they arrived Sunday at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Even the race car drivers came under additional scrutiny, as security was stepped up at the event following the Boston bombings.

Some 175,000 people were expected to attend the Grand Prix over the weekend.

Officials warned attendees to allow extra time to get past security.
