Skateboard Creeper Sought in String of Burglaries

TORRANCE, Calif. (KTLA) — Police are searching for a young man wanted in a series of thefts from open offices and unlocked apartments in recent weeks.

skater-thiefThe suspect enters the locations when victims step out to use the restroom, throw out trash or retrieve laundry from the laundry room, investigators say.

His mode of transportation is a skateboard and he has taken purses, wallets and electronics.

Police say the crimes have occurred at the following locations: 3200 block of Sepulveda, 2700 block of Skypark, 2800 block of 235th Street, 1400 block of Cravens, 22500 block of Nadine and 3400 block of PCH.

The suspect is described as a white adult male, between 18 and 25 years old, approximately 5’10” and 150 lbs.
