downey-murdersDOWNEY, Calif. (KTLA) — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying persons of interest in a double murder in Downey back in March.

The murders occurred on March 17  at 2 a.m. in front of Tacos Mexico on Florence Ave.

One of the victims, 31-year-old Isaac Perez, worked at his family’s restaurant, George’s Bar & Grill, located across the street.

Employees said that the victims had gone to Tacos Mexico to get food when, for some reason, they got into an altercation with the suspects.

“When officers arrived, they found two males suffering from both stab and gunshot wounds,” said Downey police Lt. Mark McDaniel.

“Downey paramedics responded, treated the victims and transported them to an area hospital, where they were pronounced dead,” he said.

The suspects were last seen leaving the area in a yellow H2 style Hummer, older model Chevrolet/Ford Camouflage SUV with “Got Milk” mud flaps, and a black older model BMW, unknown license plates.

Anyone with information is asked to call Downey Police at 562-904-2308 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
