“We went from planning a birthday party to planning a funeral, George Perez, victim’s brother.
Almost five weeks ago Isaac Perez and his friend were stabbed and shot to death on a sidewalk off Florence Blvd. in Downey.
He was just four days shy of celebrating his 32nd birthday.
“I don’t wish this on anyone,” George Perez says.
Isaac’s brother – George – owns a popular bar and hang out spot right across from where the shooting occurred.
The night of the double homicide – the victims and suspects were eating out separately at Tacos Mexico.
After the parties left the restaurant – they headed towards George’s bar where a knock down brawl went down in the parking lot.
George leads us to where his brother was found dead at the scene of the crime.
Downey police are now looking for these 3 men that may have been involved.
Detectives want you to take a close at these pictures and contact police if you recognize any of these faces.
“These people will commit murder, which is why it’s imperative we find them and figure out what they know,” Perez says.
Chris Campos owns a barbershop near the shootings – he says he wants to see more police out patrolling to help deter the violence.
“If they make they’re presence known they’re not gonna do things like that,” Campos says.
While police continue looking for the suspects using all leads and tips – the victims brother hopes a witness comes forward and soon.
“I just want them off the streets, so this doesn’t happen to another family,” Perez says.
