NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (KTLA) — Police arrested a man just minutes after a brazen home-invasion robbery in Northridge on Wednesday.
The unidentified man was taken into custody outside a Bank of America after reportedly trying to use an ATM card stolen in the break-in.
The suspect, armed with a gun, is accused of tying up a man and woman at their home in the 9700 block of Aldea Avenue and stealing their green SUV.
That vehicle was recovered at the bank.
The couple, who are in their 80s, were gagged and bound with zip-ties.
The couple’s daughter arrived home and was able to untie her parents and call police. No one was seriously hurt.
