Rolling Stones Play Surprise Show At EchoPlex
LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — One of the world’s largest bands is playing one of L.A.’s smallest venues on Saturday night.
The Rolling Stones announced a surprise show on Saturday at the EchoPlex in Echo Park, which only seats 650 people.
The show will be a warm-up gig for the band’s “50 and Counting” anniversary tour, which begins on May 3 at Staples Center.
Tickets to the EchoPlex show went on sale at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the El Rey Theatre and were only $20 a person.
They were assigned via a lottery and sold out quickly.
The band announced the show through its Twitter accounts.
Some 2,000 people reportedly lined up outside the El Rey.
