Pedestrian Killed in Possible Street Racing Crash
LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — Police think street racing may be to blame in a crash that left a pedestrian dead in South Los Angeles Sunday night.
It happened around 9 p.m. at 57th Street and Compton Avenue.
Officials say a Honda sedan hit the 55-year-old victim who was crossing the roadway outside of the crosswalk. The victim died at the hospital.
The vehicle then crashed into a parked car.
Police say the driver may have been racing with another car when the accident happened. He was in police custody with minor injuries.
