O.C. Man Accused in Sex Assaults Wanted on $1M Warrant
LAKE FOREST, Calif. — A Lake Forest man charged with sexually assaulting girls under the age of 10 is being sought on a $1-million warrant.
Jesus Gomez Montes, 34, has been charged with numerous felony counts related to the sexual assault of a child, and could face a maximum sentence of 130 years to life if convicted, according to a joint statement from the Orange County district attorney’s office and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Prosecutors said that Montes split his time from 2002 to 2005 between two homes in Lake Forest, living with families that included the young girls he is accused of assaulting.
Authorities described Montes as 5-foot-7 and weighing about 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
