ALTADENA, Calif. (KTLA) — Police in Altadena were asking for the public’s help on Thursday finding a man accused of raping a girl as she was walking home from school.
The alleged attack happened on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at around 5:15 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The girl, whose age was not released, was walking home from school near the 2500 block of Fair Oaks Avenue when the man grabbed her from behind, police said.
He then forced her into his vehicle and parked behind a business, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her, authorities said.
The man was described as Latino with black hair, brown eyes and a medium build. He is between 40 and 50 years old.
His car was believed to be an older, black four-door Mercedes.
