Fundraiser Held for Girl Critically Injured in Hit and Run

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KTLA) — A 5-year-old girl, who spent two weeks in a coma following a hit and run crash, appears to be on the mend.

Carlie Rodriguez was taken out of ICU, but still has a long road to recovery ahead of her.

Carlie isn’t able to speak yet.

She is also forced to wear and neck brace and is in a lot of pain, her parents said.

A fundraiser to pay for her mounting medical expenses was held Friday at Adams Motorsports.
