Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $270 Million
LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — The jackpot for Saturday’s Powerball drawing was up to $270 million on Friday, leaving many people dreaming of winning.
It was the largest jackpot since California joined Powerball last month.
The game is played in 43 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Powerball tickets cost $2 each. Players much match five numbers, plus the Powerball number, to take home the jackpot.
The largest jackpot in Powerball history was $587.5 million back on Nov. 28, 2012.
