IRVINE, Calif. (KTLA) — A tennis instructor in Irvine has been arrested on suspicion of lewd conduct with a teenage student, police said.
Jarrid Thomas Baldogo, 29, was arrested on Thursday afternoon at his home in the Westpark area of Irvine.
Police also served a search warrant at his residence.
Baldogo is accused of having inappropriate physical contact with a 13-year-old tennis student between February and April of this year, according to detectives.
The victim’s parents contacted Irvine police after finding text messages on their child’s phone, police said in a news release.
Baldogo has worked as a private tennis instructor for the past 2 1/2 years, seeking students over the Internet.Previously, he worked as an employee of a company providing tennis instruction in the Woodbridge area of Irvine.Police were investigating the possibility that there may be additional victims.
