Man Arrested After Being Rescued from Chimney
SYLMAR, Calif. (KTLA) — A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing early Tuesday after being rescued from a chimney in Sylmar, authorities said.
Firefighters responded to a 911 call around 11:35 p.m. Monday from a man who said he was stuck inside a hole at the Sylmar Recreation Center.
It turned out that he was actually trapped inside the chimney of a two-story building.
Firefighters located the man and hoisted him up about 30 feet to safety. He was checked out by paramedics and then turned over to police.
He was facing trespassing charges as well as possible burglary charges, according to police.
The man’s name was not released. Authorities believed he may have been under the influence.
