Mylyn Johnson, 29, was arrested in March at the Target store on Avenue K in Lancaster on suspicion of using his cell phone to secretly record videos up women’s dresses, officials said.

Johnson was believed to have made more than 3,000 of these videos across the Antelope Valley since August of 2012, L.A. County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Brian Hudson said.

Johnson allegedly told one woman he was a store security guard, and that he needed to detain her for shoplifting. Investigators said he then asked her to lift up her clothing while he recorded her on his cell phone.

Thousands of similar videos were reportedly found at Johnson’s home, on his phone, and on storage devices, authorities said.

The women photographed appeared to range from their teens up to 50 years old.

Detectives were able to identify 10 of these victims, but were trying to find hundreds more to help build their case against Johnson.

Johnson was also suspected of shooting videos at Union Station, Olvera Street and aboard a Metrolink train that went from the Antelope Valley to Downtown L.A., investigators said.

He allegedly told some of the women he was a tattoo artist, a rap star or that he worked for a company called Loyal Luck Television, detectives said.

Johnson’s bail was set at $750,000.

Anyone with more information was asked to contact the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau.
