NEW ORLEANS (CNN) – The mother of a missing teacher from Long Beach, CA has returned to the New Orleans area to search for her.  Terrilynn Monette has been missing since the morning of March 2nd.

But as Monica Hernandez reports, her family isn’t giving up hope of finding her.

Monette was last seen in the Lakeview area outside New Orleans.  She had left a parking lot near a bar named Parlay’s.

A traffic camera recorded her making a left turn away from the lot, but no one has seen Monette or her black Honda Accord since that morning.

Police say they have no new leads.  They’ve scoured the nearby parks and the bayou.  They’ve even pulled abandoned cars out of the bayou, but none has belonged to Monette.

Now, police and Monette’s family are making a plea to the public for their help.

It’s the third trip to New Orleans for Monette’s mother Teri Enclade since Terrilynn’s disappearance, but she’s determined to never give up hope.

On Saturday (May 18), Monette’s family had plans to head out from her apartment complex to canvas the area and pass out flyers about her disappearance.
