LONG BEACH (KTLA) — Thousands of people were expected to line the streets of Long Beach on Sunday for the annual Gay Pride Parade.

The event was scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. at Lindera Avenue and Ocean Boulevard.

The parade will march west to Alamitos Avenue, closing streets along the waterfront on Sunday.

The event was expected to draw some 80,000 people, making it the second-largest gay pride event in California after West Hollywood’s.
