Dr. Jandial: Keep Your Workout Short and Sweet

The first 15 min gets you the bulk of health gains. Again, new studies are showing that two 10 minute periods of excessive exercise are better than one 20 minute period for reducing high blood pressure.  The hospital has the same findings, patients who walk just a little bit in the hall ways and patients that walk earlier after surgery do much better. It’s not about how long or how far, just about being vertical.
