GLENDALE, Calif. (KTLA) – Flames raced through a strip mall Monday morning in Glendale, injuring two firefighters.

The fire was reported just after midnight at 235 1/2 Brand Boulevard.

As firefighters battled the flames, part of the building’s roof began to collapse.

Two firefighters suffered minor burns, however, their injuries were not life threatening.

The two-story building houses several businesses and eight apartments.

Only one of the apartments had been rented, and it appeared that was where the fire started, according to the Glendale Fire Department.

A tenant jumped out of a window, and suffered a cut ankle & sore back during the fall.

Investigators are sifting through clues to determined what caused the fire.
