SANTA MONICA, Calif. (KTLA) — Students at Santa Monica High School on Monday were on a mission to get President Barack Obama to come to their graduation.
The students posted a video to YouTube asking the president to attend their graduation.
A group of seniors posted a video on YouTube in hopes that the president would see it.
The video highlights the school’s accomplishments and features different students making their pleas to the president.
The graduation was scheduled for this Friday at 5 p.m. at the school’s Memorial Greek Theater.
The video had over 1,300 views on YouTube, and the hashtag “#getobamatothegreek” was gaining momentum on Twitter and Instagram.
President Obama was already scheduled to be in Los Angeles starting on Friday for his first fundraising trip since his re-election.
There was no word from the White House on whether the president had seen the video, or on whether he planned to attend the ceremony.
