Mother Saves Baby in Stroller After Being Hit by Cab

NEW YORK (KTLA) — An out-of-control livery cab struck a 17-year-old mother and her baby after the driver suffered a heart attack.

The Lincoln town car sideswiped two vehicles before it went up on the sidewalk directly in front of the mother and child, who was in a stroller.

Surveillance video showed the teen managed to avoid a direct hit by the car.

But she and the infant were struck as the car sped past.

The impact knocked the young mother to the ground and pinned the stroller under the car.

Within seconds, the teenager jumped to her feet and crawled under the car to rescue the baby.

Both were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The 68-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
