NEW YORK (KTLA) — Two maintenance workers were left dangling 550 feet above a Manhattan street Wednesday after their scaffolding buckled near the top of the Hearst Tower.
Firefighters were able to cut through a window on the 45th floor and pulled the workers to safety through the newly created hole, the New York Fire Department said.
The workers, who spent 90 minutes dangling near the top of the building, appeared to be in good condition, rescuers said.
