Tides will build through the weekend, maxing out on Sunday with high tide of 7.5 feet in the evening and a low tide of -1.8 feet in the early morning hours. Such large disparities in the high and low tides will create large tidal swings. As a result, strong rip currents are expected for the beaches of Southern California through Monday. Minor coastal flooding is also possible in favored locations during the highest tides.
