Bargain Hunters Camp Out for 99-Cent TVs
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) — Bargain hunters lined up in at a 99 Cents Only Store in Inglewood on Thursday morning for a chance to score a TV for under a dollar.
The deal was offered to 10 lucky customers to celebrate the opening of the new store, located at 2762 Imperial Highway.
The first nine customers in line got to purchase the TVs for 99 cents, and there was a raffle held for the 10th TV.
Some of the people in line said they had been there since Tuesday.
“We’ve been here for two days in a row going through this experience,” Inglewood resident Al Hankins said.
“It’s been fun. It’s a long journey, but it’s going to be worth it when we get this TV,” he said.
“I feel blessed,” said LaToya Caldwell, who walked away with one of the TVs. “Yes, it was worth it. Quite a bargain — a 99-cent bargain!”
