SILVERADO, Calif. (KTLA) – Thousands of people prepared to get dirty on Saturday at the 2013 Irvine Lake Mud Run.
The annual event featured a 3.8 mile obstacle course over dirt roads, fields, ponds and mud trails.
Team and individual races were set to take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Registration fees varied from $39 to $69 with proceeds going to the Orange County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen, the local breast health organization helping to serve women and save lives.
More than 10,000 people were expected to take part this year.
The mud run was held at Oak Canyon Park on Irvine Lake, located at 5305 Santiago Canyon Road, Silverado, CA 92676.
