HOLLYWOOD (KTLA) – Grammy-winning musicians Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith received another prestigious honor on Saturday in Los Angeles.
The two musicians were inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame during a star-studded celebration.
The induction ceremony was part of the 2013 Opening Night at the Hollywood Bowl.
The event, hosted by Oscar-nominated actress Angela Bassett, marked the 14th anniversary of the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame.
Grammy winners John Legend and Patti Austin were also inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame on Saturday night.
Legend told KTLA he was surprised when he received word that he would be getting the honor.
Presenters for the evening included Stevie Wonder, Arsenio Hall, and Darren Criss.
Each inductee performed with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra led by Thomas Wilkins.
The evening also included a performance by members of Youth Orchestra LA (YOLA) and end with a spectacular fireworks finale.
Proceeds benefited the LA Phil and its music education programs, which reach more than 120,000 children, teachers and adults every year.
