WESTWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) — Jerry’s Famous Deli in Westwood announced Friday it was closing its doors effective immediately.
The iconic restaurant made the decision to close after a lease disagreement with the landlord, restaurant manager Michael Angelo said.
Employees were given three days notice, according to Angelo.
The restaurant occupied a former Hamburger Hamlet location on Weyburn Avenue.
In recent months the Jerry’s Famous Deli on Beverly Boulevard in West Hollywood also closed, according to LA Observed.
The first Jerry’s Famous Deli restaurant opened in Studio City in 1978.
